Signing Up

To keep your login information as safe as possible, Chaired uses Auth0 to allow logins with either Google or Facebook credentials. To get started:

  1. Go to www.getchaired.com

  2. Click the hamburger menu on the top left of your screen.

  3. Click “SignUp”

  4. You’ll be directed to a page with two button options: Login with Facebook or Login with Google.

  5. You may choose either option. Just remember - whichever option you chose when first signing up with Chaired is the method you’ll need to use each time you login to Chaired.

  6. Next you’ll be directed to enter the User Name / Email Address and Password for your Google or Facebook account.

That’s it! It’s simple and secure! Your login information is managed by Google or Facebook and we never see it.


No Google or Facebook account?

If you do not already have a Facebook or Google account, not to worry. We suggest you setup a Google account - it’s simple and free.

  1. Start by going to: www.google.com

  2. Click the “Sign in” button on the top right of the screen.

  3. Click “Create account” and follow prompts to create your new login credentials.

    You may need to have your mobile phone to receive a text message and verify it’s really you.

Logging In

To keep your login information as safe as possible Chaired allows logins with Google or Facebook credentials.

Your Chaired account will be linked only to one of Google or Facebook, so whichever option you chose when first signing up with Chaired is the method you’ll need to use each time you login.

If you’ve previously signed up and successfully logged in but are having difficulty now, you may be clicking the wrong login method. For example, if you signup with Chaired using your Facebook account, you will not be able to login using your Google account.


Why does my search have No results?

We’re brand new and still growing! If no listing results are found we may not have expanded to your town yet. If you want us to come to your hometown add your city below and click Submit!

 

My Listing Isn’t Showing Up In Search results

Can’t see your listing in search results? New salon listings do not appear in search results immediately. If you’ve entered all listing information correctly, a new listing will typically go live and appear in search results within 24-48 hours. A Chaired representative will contact you if any listing information appears missing or incorrect.

Don’t forget - you must setup your bank deposit information before you are able to receive Guest payments. Your deposit account setup is in your Profile page. See our Host Payouts Setup instructions in the FAQ for instructions on how to complete this step.


I’m not Receiving Host Payouts

First, be sure that you’ve setup your Host deposit account on the Chaired platform. You’ll need to tell us where to deposit your Guest payments. If you haven’t setup your payout deposit account yet go to Host Payouts Setup in the FAQ for instructions on how to complete this step.

Guest payments are released after the first date of a booking. After being released, it may take several days for Guest payments to clear through the banking systems and show up as a deposit in your bank account.

If you would like to review your payouts in detail, the Chaired platform has integrated a Host payout Dashboard on your Profile page which details payouts deposited into your connected bank account. For instructions on viewing your Dashboard go to Host Payouts Dashboard in the FAQ.


How Do I Setup Host Payouts?

In addition to creating your first listing (here’s a step-by-step guide to assist you), you’ll need to tell us where to deposit your Host income payouts. Here’s how:

  1. Go to www.getchaired.com

  2. Click the hamburger menu on the top left of your screen.

  3. Click “Profile”

  4. At the bottom of the page click “Connect to Stripe”

  5. You’ll be taken to a Stripe.com page. Stripe is a secure payment provider so your payment information will be safe and sound! Learn more about Stripe on their website here.

  6. Follow the instructions to add the bank account you wish to use for receiving deposits received from Guests.


How do I Access the Host Payouts Dashboard?

Once you’ve setup your Host Payouts deposit account you’ll be given access to a dashboard to view your Chaired payout records. You can access the Stripe Payouts Dashboard on your Profile page in at same location where you setup your Payouts bank deposit information.

  1. Go to www.getchaired.com

  2. Click the hamburger menu on the top left of your screen.

  3. Click “Profile”

  4. At the bottom of the page click “View Stripe Dashboard”

  5. You’ll be taken to a Stripe.com dashboard page. Stripe is a secure payment provider so your payment information will be safe and sound! Learn more about Stripe on their website here.


Blocked calendar dates

When a listing is live on the platform, any open calendar date may be booked by a Guest - the platform does not allow Hosts to approve or deny a Guest booking request prior to booking confirmation. This is a feature our team is working to build and incorporate into the platform so stay tuned.

If there are dates outside of the salon listing’s normal business hours where the listing will be unavailable to receive Guests, the Host should add Blocked Calendar Dates to the listing calendar. You should also Block Out any holiday dates on which you don’t want Guests booking your listing. Guests are unable to book any dates you Block Out. Here’s how to add and adjust Blocked Dates:

  1. Go to www.getchaired.com

  2. Click the hamburger menu on the top left of your screen.

  3. Click “Your Salons”

  4. Find the listing you would like to add Blocked Dates and click “Edit Blocked Dates”

  5. To add a new blocked date click “Add Blocked Date”

  6. Select the date or date range and click “Next”

  7. You will see a card appear that includes the dates you’ve chosen to block.

  8. If you need to remove a Blocked Date find the card and click “Unblock Date”

  9. A confirmation alert will pop up to confirm you wish to remove that Blocked Date. Click “Yes” if you wish to proceed with the removal.


How Do I Block All New Bookings

If you need to prevent all possible bookings of your listing you have two options: (1) keep the listing publicly visible but block out all calendar dates; and (2) delete your listing entirely.

1) Keep Listing Public: You can block out all calendar dates simply by editing the posted salon hours of your listing and unchecking all days. Here are the steps:

  1. In the hamburger menu, click “Your Salons”

  2. Identify the salon listing you wish to edit and click “Edit”

  3. Click Next several times until you arrive on the page to set your salon hours

  4. Uncheck every day’s box so that your salon has no listed open days/hours

  5. Continue clicking Next until you’ve gone all the way through the salon listing setup flow

2) Delete Listing: If you need to delete your listing please email us at hello@getchaired.com and we’ll de-list it for you quickly.


Can I delete or de-activate a listing?

If you need to remove or de-activate a Salon Listing please send an email to hello@getchaired.com which includes the following information:

  • Salon name

  • Salon address

  • Listing title

  • The url of the listing

  • Indicate your wish to either delete the listing permanently or de-activate it temporarily

A Chaired representative may contact you if we need to confirm your identity as the Host listing owner prior to changing the listing status.


Help with Cancellations

The unexpected happens. If you need to cancel a previously confirmed Booking, here’s how:

Host Initiated Cancellations - If you’re a Host and need to cancel a confirmed booking here’s how:

  1. Go to www.getchaired.com

  2. Click the hamburger menu on the top left of your screen.

  3. Click “Your Salons”

  4. If you have multiple listings each listing’s bookings are viewed separately. Find the appropriate listing and click “View Bookings”

  5. Each of your Bookings will be on a card displaying the booking dates. Find the Booking you wish to cancel and click the “Cancel” link.

  6. A confirmation alert will pop up to confirm you wish to cancel that booking. Click “Yes” if you wish to proceed with the cancellation.

Chaired will provide your Guest a full refund. Please remember that multiple or frequent Host cancellations can lead to throttling or revocation of your Host platform use rights. For additional information please review Chaired’s complete cancellation policy in the Terms of Use.

Guest Initiated Cancellations - If you’re a Guest and need to cancel a confirmed booking here’s how:

  1. Go to www.getchaired.com

  2. Click the hamburger menu on the top left of your screen.

  3. Click “Bookings”

  4. Each of your Bookings will be on a card displaying the booking dates. Find the Booking you wish to cancel and click the “Cancel” link.

  5. A confirmation alert will pop up to confirm you wish to cancel that booking. Click “Yes” if you wish to proceed with the cancellation.

That’s it! You will receive a refund according to Chaired’s cancellation policy. Please remember that multiple or frequent Host cancellations can lead to throttling or revocation of your Chaired platform use rights. Mid-reservation Cancellations - If you booked multiple dates and midway through your reservation you need to cancel the remaining booking, you can cancel by following the same procedure outlined above. A refund for the future dates remaining in the booking will be given following the cancellation policy convention in the Terms of Use.

For cancellation disputes where the Host and Guest are not able to come to a friendly resolution, Chaired will serve as a dispute mediator per the Terms of Use. How Do I View My Bookings As a Guest?

  1. Go to www.getchaired.com

  2. Click the hamburger menu on the top left of your screen.

  3. Click “Bookings”

  4. Each of your Bookings as a Guest will be on a card displaying the booking dates.


How Do I view My Bookings as a Host?

  1. Go to www.getchaired.com

  2. Click the hamburger menu on the top left of your screen.

  3. Click “Your Salons”

  4. If you have multiple listings each listing’s bookings are viewed separately. Find the appropriate listing and click “View Bookings”

  5. Each of the listing’s Bookings will be on a card displaying the booking dates.


Can I list multiple chairs or suites in the same salon?

Absolutely. The more spaces you list, the more revenue you can generate. Each listing and each listing’s corresponding calendar should be created for a single and specific workspace. If you wish to list two or more workspaces on Chaired you should create a separate listing for each. While the salon address and contact information may be the same, make sure to use a different Listing Title for each listing. We suggest you also use a different listing picture to prevent Guest confusion. If you’ve already created one listing, you can create a second listing by following the same process as before. Can I leave Guest or Host Feedback and Reviews?

Do you wish to provide feedback on your experience with a Guest, Host or salon listing? We’re still building a formal review system so please send your reviews and feedback to hello@getchaired.com or fill out the Contact Us form. For feedback on a specific listing make sure you include the Listing Title and salon address or the listing url.


Why aren’t there any listings in my city?

We’re brand new and still growing! If no listing results are found we may not have expanded to your town yet. If you want us to come to your hometown click here and request that we add your city to our priority expansion list!


What cities are you in?

The Chaired platform can be accessed and used almost anywhere in the world with Internet access. However we only advertise listings in certain markets due to resource constraints. Currently Chaired only actively advertises in:

What does Chaired cost?

Chaired only gets paid when you do - platform transaction fees are charged only when a booking is made. Signing Up and creating your listings is completely free! We know every dollar counts and we try hard to keep fees to a minimum. Click here to view pricing details.
